The Situation

Scout Shops faced a challenge that many retail stores encounter: how to effectively showcase new products in a way that grabs attention and drives sales at the point-of-sale area. They needed:

  • A fresh, creative way to promote the two new products directly at checkout.
  • A display solution optimized to fit the products perfectly and align with brand aesthetics.
  • A scalable option that could easily be replicated and implemented across all retail locations.

Without a well-thought-out and functional display piece, there was a risk of leaving valuable sales opportunities untapped.

The Symphonix Solution

To address this challenge, we developed a tailored approach to create a custom display piece exclusively for Scout Shops. The process included the following steps:

1. Collaborative Planning

We engaged in in-person client meetings to thoroughly understand the products they wanted to highlight and the specific space constraints at their checkout counters. This allowed us to truly tailor the solution to their needs.

2. Prototyping and Testing

After analyzing the requirements, our structural engineers designed and built a prototype. Blank prototype samples were presented for quality assurance, allowing product-fit testing to ensure accuracy and functionality.

 

3. Customization and Scalability

The final design accommodated custom composition and graphics, allowing for an appealing and cohesive branding experience. The displays were produced in bulk, ensuring consistency and efficiency for deployment across all Scout Shops.

4. Seamless Implementation

These display units were included in Scout Shops’ monthly marketing kits. Clear instructions were provided, enabling local managers to quickly and effectively set up the displays on their cash wrap counters.

This process ensured that Scout Shops had a display solution that not only aligned with their branding but also contributed to an enhanced customer experience.

The Execution

 The success of this project lies in its seamless execution and measurable results:

  • Widespread Deployment: Display pieces were produced in bulk and distributed across all Scout Shop locations.
  • Ease of Integration: Packaging the displays as part of monthly marketing kits ensured effortless implementation by shop managers.
  • Enhanced Visibility: Positioned directly on the cash wrap counters, the displays maximized customer attention and encouraged POS sales.

Although specific sales data was not provided at the time, the widespread adoption and usability of the displays underscored their success.
