The Situation

Moving office spaces can be a complex process for any company.

If the new office is under renovation in a century old industrial foundry building, the complexity seems to grow exponentially.

Building codes change over time, and in order to get occupancy certificates some updates have to be made. In our case, code required our new unit to have a different type of door than the others. While the other office doors in our building have beautiful old glass windows, we ended up with something a little... lackluster.

The Symphonix Solution

After spending countless hours designing artwork and signage for the new office space and lobby, the team found the removal of the window quite frustrating and impersonal.

But our creative team (well, mostly just Ross) heard opportunity knocking and set out to make this utilitarian door more interesting.

The Execution

In the end, humor prevailed and we got our window back.

Just not in the traditional sense. A composite was made using images of the original door and photos of our interior entryway. It was then applied to a high tack vinyl with the help of one of our printing partners, and installed in-house.
